Nothing adds more to the names and dates of a family history than the family myths/stories--whether completely true or slightly embellished or dependent on fading memories. They are the glue that holds our families together. The tales here include a collection of memories written by Dr. Paul D. Sturkie, Tales of a Texas Grandpa, a newspaper acount of Howard Sturkie's experiences as a WWII pilot, as well as hand-me-down tales of various family members including Kathleen Sturkie and Lloyd Olen Sturkie. I invite Sturkie family members to add to our collection. |
