Know all men by these Presents, that M N.M. Sharp, C. R. Sturkie, Z. A W Sturkie, D. A. Sturkie, R.M. Spires, M.J. Sturkie, R. G. W Sturkie, Henrietta Lucas, Laura Wise, J. M. Sturkie, M. J. Mack, Columbus Sturkie and Arnold F. Sturkie in the State aforesaid, have granted, bargained, sold and released, and by these Presents do grant, bargain, sell and release unto the said

J. Frank Sturkie of the County and State aforesaid all that plantation piece or parcel of land situate lying and bring in the County and State aforesaid lying on Sandy Run Creek containing one hundred and forty six (146) acres more or less and bounded on the North by J. Frank Sturkie and W. F. Mack on the East by Frank Moorer on the South by Z. A. W. Sturkie and on the west by D. A. Sturkie.

Together with all and singular the rights, members, hereditatments and appurtenances to the said premises belonging, or in any wise incident or appertaining:

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said

J. Frank his Heirs and Assigns forever, AND we do hereby bind ourselves and our Heirs, Executors and Adminstrators, to warrant and forever defend all and sinular the said premises unto the said J. Frank Sturkie his Heirs and Assigns, against ourselves and our Heirs, and all toehr persons lawfully claiming, or to claim the same or any part hereof.

Witness our Hand and Seal and this fifth day of January in the year of our Lord oone thousand eight hundred and ninety-six and in the one hundred and nineteenth year of the Sovereignty and Independence of the United States of America.
