A Daniel born 1786 could very well be the son of a William born in the early t mid-1760's. Of course, he could be the brother of a John C. Sturkie born in 1782.9
Research: A Daniel Sturkie left Orangeburg and went to Alabama "about 1830." There was a Daniel Sturkie on the Orangeburg 1830 census who does not appear on any subsequent SC census. But the Daniel Sturkie on the alabama 1840 census does not exactly match the information from the 1830 SC census....Daniel and his wife, as well as most of the children, are supposed to be buried at Concord Baptist church cemetery, Smith Station, Alabama.9
Daniel married Cynthia Longly. Born on 13 Aug 1786. Cynthia died on 16 Jun 1849; she was 62.
