Research: Some researchers of the Sturkie family believe that this Ulrich Starecky, son of Heinrich and Elizabeth Starecky, married a Margaret, and that their son was John C. Sturkie born in 1782. In the 1850 census, there is a Margaret listed as a member of John C. Sturkey/Sturkie's household, age 86 (born 1764), but there is no indication of her relationship to John. There is currently no documentation available to prove that this Ulrich married a Margaret or that he was the father of John C. Sturkie. There were four Ulrichs in Orangeburgh and at least two of the other Ulrichs were married to a Margaret so there is ample opportunity for confusion. 1754 Baptized in Orangeburgh Church on Thursday Decembr. 26th.
