~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Through family history, it is said Joseph Absalum Williamson departed Newton County, Mississippi in the late 1880's to visit relatives who did live in San Saba County, Texas and the San Antonio area, where he died.
However Joseph had younger sister Harriett (Shannon) Williamson Houston, who lived in Independence County, Arkansas at that time. He may have made stop to visit Harriett and died in Arkansas.
At this time I have not been successful in locating his burial site. Joseph Absalum and his brother David C. Williamson, were administrators of the estate of their father Charles Williamson who died November 10, 1842." (Bobby Crocker.)
