Notes for Lewis (Spouse 2)
“Louis Robenson must have married Mary to get control of her property. There was a law suit, between him and her children. He lost and their mother was declared mentally incompetent. This place where Mary and Benjamin lived is located about a mile and a half behind King Grove Baptist Church. After Mary’s death Vandy and Orry Jane came into possession of the home place. Vandy’s son, Wylie Upton came into possession next, then his son Wylie Quitman. Four generations owned the pole house which was torn down by Wylie Quitman.”130
