Obituary/DC notes for John Benjamin Franklin (Spouse 1)
Both John Benjamine Franklin and Elizabeth are buried at the Lytle Cemetery, plot no. 141, Lytle, Atascosa, Texas. Elizabeth was buried first at the Devine Evergreen Cemetery, where a memorial still stands in her honor. (It is the belief of her descendants that the numbers designating her date of birth were transposed at the time this memorial was carved. Elizabeth’s casket was moved from Devine to Lytle by train in 1900 to be placed by her husband’s side.)
