Obituary/DC notes for Johann Frederick (Spouse 1)
A Centenarian--In yesterday’s Comet we published the death of John Hoover, a native of Germany, but for many years a resident of this city. r. Hoover had reached the ripe old age of 97 years, and but for injuries received about two years ago from the hand of a burglar, who entered his house, he might have gone on to the even hundred. He was severely beaten over the head, by a villain who entered his house. The man was convicted of the offense and is now paying the penalty in the Penitentiary.
