Will of Edward Jeffcoat
to Jacob Jeffcoat

Know all men by these present that I Edward Jefcoat of Orangeburg District and state of are said for an consideration of the love and natural afftection which I have and bare toward my son Jacob Jeffcoat of Lexington District have given, granted, and confirmed by these presents do give, grant and confirm unto the said Jacob Jeffcoat all that plantation or tract of land where on he is now lives containing one hundred acres in Lexington District commencing on the corner of the land now belonging to Barbara Oswalt along Benjamin Jeffcoat line as far as to make the one hundred acres by running down said fence to wthe Oswalt line, thence along said line to the beginning. Together with all and singular the rights, members, hereditatments, and appertainances unto the same belonging or, in any wise incident of appertaining to have and to hold and singular the premises before me mentioned unto the said Jacob Jeffcoat his heirs and assigns against myself, my heirs and every other lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. In Witness whereof I have set my hand and sealed tis thirteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty severna nd in the seventh second year of the Independence of the United States of America
