Will of D. W. Jeffcoat of Rocky Grove Township,Aiken, Co., SC
I Daniel W. Jeffcoat of Rocky Grove Township, Aiken Co., SC being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life do thereforemake ordain and publish and declare this tobe my last will and testament.
That is to say that my Executor, to be herein after maintained to take charge of my property both real and personal after my death, to turn over all my personal property to my wife Kissiah for her own use and that of daughter Annie R. S. during my said wife’s natural life except my chest of tools, my gun and bed, bedstool and furniture for the same. I give and bequeath to my beloved son John T. Jeffcoat the other said property I give and bequeath to my said daughtr Annie R. S. after the natural death of my said wife.
My real estate mentioned is to be taken charge of by my Executer one half to be rented or leased as may seem best to him and the procedes to be turned over to my beloved said wife for her and my said daughter sufficient during her my said wife’s natural life, the other half set apart for the disbursement of my debts, as soon as said debts are discarded are to be turned over to my beloved wife in the same manner as the other above mentioned half for the same purpose and in the same manner for her and my said daughters uses and purpose during my beloved said wife’s natural life and after her death go to my said daughter for her own uses and purposes.
The said son John T. Jeffcoat is to have (4) acres of land cut off the N.E. corner of my said land for himself whenever he, the said John T. shall have made improvements on the other portion of my real estate as will compensate for the improvements that were on the said four acres when he the said John T. took charge of it.
Likewise I make constitute and appoint my said son John T. Jefcoat to be my executor of this my last will and testament, herby revoking former wills b me made.
In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal and subscribe my name this the 17th day of June One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty-Two
