“Uncle Julius Ewing, Grandsire’s youngest son, came to visit Aunt Mollie. He had been educated in music in Vanderbilt, where he lived with the Captain’s oldest sister. * Uncle Jules had became a music teacher in a Presbyterian college in Greenwood, and they came to visit Aunt Mollie during vacation. The Ewings had been founders of that sect in Tennessee. But Grandsire had strayed off to Alabama and married Jane Lucy and became a Methodist, which was also the faith of the Lucys. They named the church Graham Chapel for the pioneer pastor.223

(This would be Jane Dysert who lived in Marshall County, Tennessee; however, Jane Dysert died in 1866 so this could not be the sister that Jules lived with in TN.)

The 1880 Census shows Jules living with Mary Allison age 67, head of household in Davidson, Nashville, TN. He is her nephew.
