Little is known of this Henry. Records show that he was a Puritan and lived in Salem until about 1680, after the birth of his first child. He removed in the Wallingford area and some records indicate that he lived at the Plymouth Colony for a time, then at Branford near New Haven. Subsequently, he applied for residency at Wallingford. Henry was a farmer and owned a good sized plantation (as farms were called at that time.) He was “frequently elected to offices of trust and responsibility by his townsmen.”26
